West Bengal’s Madhyamik 2026 results have produced a fresh set of academic achievers, with Abhirup Bhadra from Raiganj emerging as the state topper with an impressive 698 marks. The merit list reflects a strong district-wise performance, while Kalimpong recorded the highest pass percentage at 95.10%, closely followed by East Midnapore at 94.82%.
Abhirup Bhadra, a student of Sarada Vidyamandir in Uttar Dinajpur, clinched the top rank, setting a benchmark for excellence. Close behind is Priyotosh Mukhopadhyay from Birbhum’s Sarojini Devi Shishu Mandir, who secured the second position with 696 marks.
The third rank is jointly held by Sour Jana of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission in South 24 Parganas and Ankan Kumar Jana from Ramakrishna Shiksha Mandir in East Midnapore, both scoring 695.
Arijit Bar from Chatri Vivekananda Vidyabhavan in East Midnapore secured the fourth position with 694 marks, followed by Dwaipayan Biswas of Badkulla United Academy in Nadia at fifth with 693.
The sixth rank went to Adrita Goswami from Rahara Ramakrishna Mission in North 24 Parganas with 692 marks. Swarnava Sardar from Nabadwip Bakultala High School in Nadia secured seventh place with 691.
Pragya Saha from Raghunathganj Ranibhavani Vidyaniketan in Murshidabad stood eighth with 690 marks, while Shahrin Sultan from Model High School, also in Murshidabad, ranked ninth with 689.
Kasturi Singh of Ladhuram Toshniwal Vidyamandir in Murshidabad completed the top ten list with 688 marks.
This year’s merit list highlights not just individual brilliance but also the growing academic competitiveness across districts, with multiple institutions consistently producing top-performing students.
