In a lightning-fast and high-precision military operation lasting just 23 minutes, India successfully carried out Operation Sindoor, targeting terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan — all without crossing the Line of Control. On Wednesday, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) revealed how the Indian Armed Forces managed to bypass and even disable Pakistan’s Chinese-origin air defense systems to achieve one of the most sophisticated strikes in recent military history.
The MoD stated that no Indian assets were harmed, and multiple terror hideouts were destroyed, demonstrating India’s growing technological prowess in warfare and surveillance.
🎯 What Was Targeted?
According to the MoD, the operation focused on:
Noor Khan Airbase
Rahim Yar Khan Airbase
These Pakistani airbases were hit using “Loitering Munitions”, also known as kamikaze drones, which circle in a designated airspace, identify key targets, and strike with deadly accuracy.
🛡️ Advanced Weapons Used
India deployed a powerful combination of air defense systems, including:
Pechora systems
OSA-AK missile systems
LLAD guns (Low-Level Air Defence)
Akash Surface-to-Air Missiles — short-range, indigenous missiles to intercept airborne threats.
The Akash missile system protected critical Indian airspace, while the multi-layered air defense grid comprising resources from the Army, Navy, and Air Force created an impenetrable shield against any Pakistani retaliation.
🚀 Role of ISRO in Operation Sindoor
India’s space agency ISRO played a vital role by providing real-time satellite surveillance. The MoD confirmed that 10 of ISRO’s artificial satellites were actively monitoring the northern borders and the seas during the operation, enabling timely targeting and intelligence support.
🔥 Pakistan’s Chinese Air Defense System Neutralized
The MoD revealed that India’s aircraft and drones successfully bypassed and deactivated multiple Chinese-made defense layers deployed by Pakistan. These included radar, missile interceptors, and anti-aircraft systems, showcasing India’s electronic warfare capabilities and tactical superiority.
📸 Physical Evidence Collected
Post-operation, Indian forces recovered:
Debris of Chinese-made PL-15 missiles
Parts of Turkish UAV “İHA”
Rockets, quadcopters, and other drones launched from Pakistan
This physical evidence confirms both the origin and extent of Pakistan’s attempted aggression.
⚔️ India Was Prepared for Retaliation
Anticipating a Pakistani counter-strike, India had deployed:
Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS)
Shoulder-fired air defense weapons
Legacy and modern air defense systems
This multi-tiered defense grid made it extremely difficult for Pakistan to retaliate effectively.
