A low-pressure system is expected to intensify, potentially transforming into a deep depression and heading towards the Odisha coast. As a result, southern Bengal is likely to see an increase in rainfall starting from next Wednesday, according to the Meteorological Department.

Today, Friday, scattered rain is expected in some districts of southern Bengal. Due to high humidity levels, discomfort may persist during the morning and afternoon. From Saturday, the weather will become drier, with reduced chances of rain and a decrease in humidity levels.
