What Did the Supreme Court Say?

On May 16, the Supreme Court ordered the West Bengal government to release 25% of the pending DA within six weeks from the date of the verdict. Initially, the court ordered 50%, but after senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi cited financial constraints, the court reduced the requirement to 25%.
