In today’s cashless society, online payment platforms like Google Pay and PhonePe have become essential for managing daily expenses, from small purchases to large transactions. However, users may occasionally face issues when attempting to send money via Google Pay. Here are some key reasons why transactions may be interrupted:
- Check Account Balance and Network Issues: If you encounter difficulties while using Google Pay, first verify your account balance and check for any network problems.
- NPCI Transaction Limits: The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) imposes certain limits on UPI transactions that can cause interruptions:
- Daily Transaction Limit: Exceeding the transaction limit within 24 hours may result in blocked payments. The standard limit is typically ₹1 lakh, with some cases allowing up to ₹2 lakhs.
- Number of Transactions: If you conduct more than 10 transactions within a 24-hour period, your ability to transact on Google Pay may be restricted.
- Incoming Transactions: Receiving money more than 5 times in 24 hours can also lead to issues.
- New Bank Account or UPI ID Restrictions: If you add a new bank account or UPI ID, conducting transactions over ₹5,000 within the first 24 hours can result in payment issues.
- High Volume of Transactions: Completing over 100 transactions within a 30-day period can trigger restrictions on sending money via Google Pay.
- Low-Value Transactions: If you perform more than 20 transactions of less than ₹10 each in a day, it may lead to complications in UPI payments.
