Supreme Court Postpones RG Kar Hospital Case Again, Rescheduled for 3 PM on Wednesday

The Supreme Court has again postponed the hearing for the RG Kar Hospital case, setting the next session for Wednesday at 3 PM. This marks the second consecutive delay, as the initial hearing scheduled for Tuesday was adjourned. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud’s bench announced that the case would be prioritized on Wednesday afternoon.

CBI Status Report and State Affidavit to be Presented

In Tuesday’s postponed session, the CBI was expected to submit a detailed status report on the investigation’s progress in the RG Kar case. The state government was also to submit an affidavit regarding the role of civic volunteers and security arrangements in hospitals and medical colleges. In previous statements, the state government assured that all security measures would be completed by the end of October. This report will be reviewed by the Chief Justice on Wednesday.
