The film, particularly one of its controversial dialogues about hunting deer, sparked objections from Faizan Khan, who is from the Vishnoi community in Rajasthan. The Vishnoi community is known for its strong stance on wildlife conservation, particularly the protection of deer.

According to reports, Faizan Khan made a complaint to the police in 2023, claiming that Shah Rukh’s dialogue in Anjam was offensive to his religious beliefs. Khan, a member of the Vishnoi community, was particularly upset by the reference to hunting, as it contradicts his values of protecting wildlife. This incident triggered the new threat against Shah Rukh, although the threat message was sent from a stolen phone.

The incident unfolded around Shah Rukh’s birthday on November 2, 2023. Normally, Shah Rukh greets his fans from the roof of his mansion, Mannat, but this time, his security was heightened, and he did not appear in public. The actor’s home was surrounded by tight security to prevent crowds from gathering outside. Following the threats, Shah Rukh was granted Y-plus category security by the Mumbai police, ensuring that his safety was prioritized.

Further investigations into the threat revealed that Faizan Khan’s phone had been stolen on November 2. The phone was used to send the death threat to Shah Rukh, and Faizan later reported the theft to the police. However, the police confirmed that the threat had indeed come from his stolen phone.
