The Crime in Bhupatinagar:

The victim in the Bhupatinagar case had reportedly been harassed by the accused for an extended period. Locals claim that he had made several inappropriate advances towards her, but the woman had rejected his advances and warned him. On the day of the incident, the woman was home alone, as her husband was away. Seizing the opportunity, the accused broke into her house and allegedly assaulted and raped her. It is further alleged that he then force-fed her pesticide to cover up the crime.

The police are investigating the case, and opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari is expected to visit the site in the coming days, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
