According to sources from Aviation News, Ambani purchased a Boeing 737 Max 9, valued at approximately INR 1,000 crore (USD 120 million). This acquisition makes him the owner of India’s most expensive private jet to date.
The Boeing 737 Max 9 has been kept in the cargo terminal of Delhi Airport after being custom-fitted in Switzerland. The aircraft underwent an extensive interior redesign and seating capacity expansion at the Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg EuroAirport. Before being delivered, the Boeing 737 Max 9 was tested rigorously with six trial flights across airports in Basel, Geneva, and London to ensure seamless performance. The plane boasts two CFM LEAP-18 engines and can cover a maximum range of 11,700 kilometers without refueling.
