In a bid to counter that narrative and send a political message ahead of state polls, the BJP might include a Pasmanda Muslim representative in the council of ministers.

On Tuesday, PM Modi held a one-hour meeting with President Droupadi Murmu, further fueling speculation about the impending reshuffle. Meanwhile, BJP national president J.P. Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reportedly held a two-hour long meeting to discuss organizational matters—yet another sign that big changes are on the way.
