Dilip Ghosh to take charge of BJP along with Subrata Chatterjee? Big news about State President
As BJP seeks district-wise names for Pradesh Parishad, speculation intensifies on Sukanta Majumdar’s successor. National president election also likely by June-end.

Even without public statements, political developments within the BJP’s West Bengal unit clearly hint at preparations for a new state president election. Internal speculation has been rife for weeks, but now the process is visibly moving forward.

According to sources, the party’s organizational in-charge and Returning Officer Deepak Barman has asked all district presidents to submit the names of representatives for the Pradesh Parishad—a critical body for electing the new state BJP chief. These names, collected constituency-wise, are likely to be officially published in the first week of June.

While the BJP has not made any formal announcement, the move to reconstitute the Pradesh Parishad suggests that the state president election is imminent.

State Presidents are elected by Pradesh Parishad members, with one representative from each Assembly constituency.
