
Kolkata, April 11: In a significant development, Education Minister Bratya Basu is scheduled to hold a meeting with representatives of SSC job aspirants at Bikash Bhavan today. The discussion comes amid ongoing protests and rising pressure from aspirants who lost their jobs due to recruitment irregularities.
A total of 12 representatives have been selected by the protestors to participate in this crucial dialogue with the education department.
Who Are the Representatives?
Initially, a 13-member delegation was proposed by the protestors. However, based on internal discussions and coordination with the authorities, 12 names were finalized to attend the meeting at Bikash Bhavan.
Selected Representatives Include:
Humayun Firoz Mondal, Sangita Saha, Abdullah Mondal, Chinmoy Mondal, Sujay Sardar, Prolay Kumar Jamadar, Azharuddin, Selina Akhtar, Swapan Biswas, Mehbub Mondal, Dithish Mondal, Mrinmoy Mondal, and Tapas Santra.
What Are the Key Demands?
The aspirants are demanding the public release of the ‘mirror image’ of SSC exam results to ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process. This demand is central to today’s meeting, along with other issues related to cancelled appointments and legal disputes around recruitment.
Who Will Attend the Meeting?
Apart from Education Minister Bratya Basu, the meeting will be attended by:
Chairman of the SSC, President of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, Principal Secretary of the Education Department, Top legal officials from the department
Before the meeting with the job aspirants, internal discussions were already held among senior education department officials.
