    In Bidhannagar, a 69-year-old woman, Shibani Das, residing in Ward 4, Sarat Pally, succumbed to dengue hemorrhagic fever on Saturday. She had been hospitalized in Baguihati, and her death certificate confirms “dengue hemorrhagic fever” as the cause. This marks the first dengue fatality in Bidhannagar this season.

    The dengue situation is especially severe in Islampur, with Netaji Park and Nasyat Para areas hit hardest. A 30-year-old man, Rahul Sheikh, passed away due to dengue on Tuesday morning, adding to the growing list of dengue fatalities in Islampur. Hospitals in the area are overwhelmed, with a continuous influx of patients presenting fever and dengue symptoms.
