Ratan Tata’s Magic Lives On! Tata Motors Sets Sales Record on Dhanteras with Tata Curvv SUV
This month, India bid farewell to one of its greatest industrialists, Ratan Tata, leaving a significant void in the nation’s business legacy. Yet, his legacy continues as his beloved company, Tata Motors, celebrates an impressive milestone this Dhanteras. Tata Curvv, a recent launch by Tata Motors, has quickly gained popularity and achieved record-breaking sales, highlighting the strength of the Tata brand.
Tata Curvv: Popularity and Record Sales
Earlier this year, Tata Motors launched its new Tata Curvv, a stylish coupe SUV available in petrol, diesel, and electric variants. Following a highly anticipated release, Tata Curvv has resonated well with customers, thanks to its premium design, advanced features, and diverse fuel options. According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Tata Motors sold an impressive 8,128 units of the Tata Curvv from August to September, establishing a strong record in the segment.
Tata Curvv’s sales performance has already outpaced that of Tata’s popular Harrier model. Initially launched in an electric version, Tata Motors subsequently introduced petrol and diesel variants, expanding its appeal. The sales trend further showed a 38% increase from August to September, with 3,455 units sold in August and 4,763 in September.
Tata Curvv Outsells Harrier and Competes with Segment Leaders
Tata Curvv’s average monthly sales are significantly higher than Harrier’s, which averages 1,700 units per month. Although Curvv’s numbers still trail behind Tata’s bestseller Nexon (which records around 12,000 monthly sales), Curvv is emerging as a strong contender in the mid-size SUV market. It even poses a challenge to market leader Hyundai Creta, whose monthly sales average around 16,000 units.
Tata Curvv Price and Safety Appeal
Since its release, Tata Curvv has been well-received, gaining praise for its advanced safety features and customer-centric design. The Curvv has achieved a five-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, underscoring its commitment to passenger protection. As for pricing, the Curvv’s ex-showroom price ranges from INR 10 to 19 lakh, while the electric version is priced between INR 17.49 to 21.99 lakh. This competitive pricing, combined with high safety ratings, has drawn considerable attention from buyers looking for alternatives to Tata’s Nexon.
Tata Curvv’s stellar performance and popularity showcase the lasting impact of Ratan Tata’s vision, as Tata Motors continues to reach new milestones. Dhanteras’ record-breaking sales confirm that Tata Curvv is poised to become one of the most popular SUVs in India, carrying forward the legacy of Tata’s trusted and innovative spirit.
