Iran attacks Israel, fires nearly 200 missiles: Netanyahu says Tehran ‘will pay for it’, US Stands by Israel

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated as Iran launched a direct missile attack on Israeli soil. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Iran, stating, “Iran will pay the price for this mistake.” The conflict between Iran and Israel has drawn international attention, with the United States firmly standing by Israel’s side.

Iran’s missile attack was reportedly in retaliation for the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. The Israeli military claimed that Iran fired at least 181 missiles, most of which were intercepted. However, some parts of Tel Aviv were hit, resulting in injuries to civilians. Following the attack, Netanyahu warned Iran, stating, “Iran has made a grave mistake. They will get their answer in due time. We are ready.” Speculations suggest that Israel may soon launch a direct counterattack on Iranian soil.

In addition, Biden condemned the Iranian assault and expressed his desire to speak with the Israeli Prime Minister to further discuss the situation. Biden emphasized that the United States fully stands by Israel.

In response to Biden’s statements, Iran issued its own warning, cautioning the US not to get involved in the conflict. Tehran warned that if the US interferes, American bases in Iraq could become targets for further attacks. In light of these threats, American military and air force bases have been placed on high alert. Iran also warned that if Israel retaliates, the consequences will not be favorable for the Israeli state.

The recent escalation was triggered by the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli attack in Tel Aviv on Saturday. His death sparked widespread protests in Tehran, with thousands of Iranians taking to the streets, demanding retribution against Israel. Iran, which backs Hezbollah, called for revenge and submitted a letter to the United Nations Security Council, warning of serious consequences. Shortly after, on Tuesday night, Iran launched its missile attack on Israel.

As tensions rise, the situation in the Middle East is growing increasingly volatile, with both Israel and Iran preparing for further military action, potentially dragging other nations into the conflict.
